Eastlake vs Skyline - VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS!

It was a tale of two halves last night on the Plateu. Coach Chris O'Dougherty and the Eastlake Wolves absolutely owned the first half, building a 5-2 lead by halftime.  Eastlake's shots were finding net, their offense was consistently creating chances, they were fierce on groundballs and transition, and their defense made Skyline look anemic on offense.  Going in to halftime, they had to feel good.

The Spartans then responded with a great half of their own, shutting the Wolves out and scoring 4 straight to pull out a one goal victory.  Eastlake's Coach O'Dougherty noted "their D had a solid second half, starting in net. We couldn't get anything going"  A big part of Skyline's rally was converting on 3 of 6 extra man opportunities.  Skyline's Andy Hutchings registered a hat trick on these tallies.  Eastlake didn't go away in the second half, but the Spartans gave them more than they could handle.

Coach Sam Hutson felt that the difference at halftime was "our experience over spring break, where we finally learned how to win.  At halftime we knew if we kept playing our game, and stayed calm, cool, and collected, we would be there in the end."

Coach O'Dougherty felt "It was a great game for the rivalry between the two schools, and one I'm looking forward to for years to come.  Hats off to Skyline, I expect them to make a strong push this post season!"

It was a night that saw strong play all over the field, from all positions, from both teams.  Both goalies stood tall in net, absolutely robbing shooters on several occasions.  Please enjoy the highlights below and let us know how you feel on twitter @walax
