Woodinville Downs Northshore 10-7
The Falcons moved to 7-0 in Division II league play, after downing a Division I cross town rival Northshore. Woodinville's Colter Clinch score four goals and two assists in the win. Players on both sides once played with each other but due to the sport's growth. Woodinville Lacrosse Club was created, exanding the Bothell-Woodinville lacrosse community. In the game, NOrthshore was without point leader Foster Wisman, but Alex Bus stepped up netting four goals and hunkered down the midfield and offense for his team. The Falcons led the throughout the second half, but Northshore was able to cut the deficit by one with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. However, Clinch's six point performance cemeted the Falcon win.
"It was stepping up and ball movement tonight," said Clinch. "It (the win) helps us get our name out there and tells everyone we're stepping up our game this year."
Bainbridge cruises past Stadium in boys lax
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND – Jocob Knostman netted 4 goals and Alex Crane scored 3 to lead Bainbridge High School to a 13 – 2 boys high school lacrosse win, Wednesday at Bainbridge Stadium. The Spartans jumped out to a 3 – 1 first quarter lead and netted another 4 in the second to take a 7 – 1 lead into the half. In the second half, Bainbridge added another 6 to cruise to the win. Seven Spartans netted goals in the Bainbridge win. Drew Ramsey, JP Faulk tallied a goal apiece and Drew Thomas had a season-high 23 saves in goal for Stadium. Bainbridge (6-0-0) next travels to Vancouver to face King’s Way (5-2-0) on Saturday, April 9 in a 7 p.m. start at Columbia River High School. Stadium (2-1-0) next faces Curtis (4-2-0), Tuesday, April 12 in a 5 p.m. start at Mason Middle School.
