Walax offers a number of other services on top of the leagues, camps and clinics that we run through the year.  Follow the links before to find out more about our private and group lessons and clinics and much more.  If you have a need for some customized coaching, you have come to the right place.

Walax has a cadre of coaches who are able and willing to help players in all ranged of capability.  From absolutely no experience and never touching a stick, to tuning advanced star players, Walax coaches have expertise in specialty areas, as well as general Lacrosse skills.  After an assessment, Walax coaches will set up a structure for lessons beit one-on-one instruction, or group instruction with a goal-oriented program showing progression and improvement over the course of lessons with Walax.  Click on the links below for more information about each program, or CONTACT US with questions!

 Walax Coaches Bios

Lewis Ratcliff - played his college Lacrosse at Division I Ohio State as a buckeye, before becoming a 2x NLL Champion, and being awarded the *2010 NLL Champions Cup MVP with the Washington Stealth.  Lewis is also a 5x NLL ALL-star, selected in 2006 as the NLL All Star Game MVP.  He has also been a 2x Mann Cup Champion (WLA), and a 3x MVP in the WLA.  That is not all- he has played for the San Francisco Dragons (MLL) and for Team England in the World Games as well as Team Canada in box Lacrosse' world indoor team.  Currently, he is playing on the LXMPRO tour as well.  There is no one better to help you find your mark in the cage than Lewis;  9-year pro, his shooting and finishing is unmatched.

 

 

Chris O'Dougherty - Chris O’Dougherty joins our coaching staff after moving to the Seattle area from Kinnelon, New Jersey. O’Dougherty began his lacrosse career at Seton Hall prep where he served as team captain for two seasons. During his senior season in 2005 he was a first team all-state selection, All-American selection and also was voted team MVP. O’Dougherty continued his career at Rutgers University where he was a four-year starter and three-year captain selection. During his sophomore season in 2007 O’Dougherty was a All-ECAC selection, a honorable mention All-American and was awarded the Robert Collett Trophy that is awarded to the player who displays the best mental and physical spirit. The 2008 and 2009 campeigns, Chris was again selected as a All-ECAC member and was also named the teams MVP for back to back seasons. After his senior season, O’Dougherty participated in North/South senior all-star game, and was selected by the Denver Outlaws in MLL collegiate Draft. He started one game his rookie season in Denver. This past fall the Washington Stealth drafted O’Dougherty. Chris has coached for Tri-State boys lacrosse club since 2005 and Kinnelon high school and won the 2010 Division I championship with Bellevue High School.
